Dr. Kamel also serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Chicago-based Northwestern University.
He began his career after earning his medical degree from Ithaca, N.Y.-based Cornell University. He completed his residency at Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital and his fellowship at University of Chicago.
Dr. Kamel started his gastroenterology practice in 1997. He has more than 25 years of experience in practice.
He started a colon cancer screening outpatient program which provides uninsured patients access to colonoscopies.
