In 2012, Dr. Snyder received the “master” designation from the American College of Physicians, the college’s highest honor.
Dr. Snyder is on the editorial board of five gastroenterology and liver disease journals and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterological Association.
He previously served as chief of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch and Galveston. Dr. Snyder also held a post as vice chairman of internal medicine and director of outpatient clinics at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and interned at Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Medical Center.
