GI leader to know: Dr. Nadim Haddad of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital

Nadim G. Haddad, MD, is the physician executive director and regional chief of the gastroenterology department at Washington, D.C.-based MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

His research focuses on treating pancreatic cysts and cancer. Dr. Haddad was instrumental in developing a pancreatic cyst registry for use by universities and medical centers in molecular profiling.

He is an associate professor at Georgetown University, and is the director of the gastroenterology fellowship program.

Dr. Haddad earned his medical degree from Lubbock-based Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
