GI leader to know: Dr. Nadege Gunn of Austin Gastroenterology

Nadege Gunn, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Austin (Texas) Gastroenterology.

Specializing in liver disease, she is currently focusing on clinical trials in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and gastrointestinal illnesses.

Dr. Gunn earned her medical degree from Gainesville. -based University of Florida College of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Greenville (S.C.) Health System.

Dr. Gunn completed her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowships at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium as an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force. While in the U.S. Air Force, she earned the rank of Major and was chief of gastroenterology at the Valparaiso, Fla.-based Eglin Air Force Base.

Dr. Gunn previously served as the site lead physician for Newport News, Va.-based The Liver Institute.
