GI leader to know: Dr. Miguel Saps of the University of Miami Health System

Miguel Saps, MD, is chief of the division of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Miami Health System.

Dr. Saps also serves as the George E. Batchelor Endowed Chair in Pediatrics. His research interests include pediatric functional bowel disorders and gastrointestinal motility.

Dr. Saps earned his medical degree at Hospital Pereyra-Rossell, Facultad de Medicina in Montevideo, Uruguay.
