Dr. Sheffield earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine.
He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Dr. Sheffield joined Gastroenterology South in 1993 and is celebrating 25 years at the practice. He notably ran and grew the practice from four to 18 providers during those 25 years. The one room endoscopy center has grown to three separate endo centers, with a total of seven suites.
The Gastroenterology practice joined the Oregon clinic in 2013. Dr. Sheffield has been serving on the Oregon Clinics Executive Committee for the past five years.
He previously served as president of the Medical Staff for Tualatin-based Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center for two years and served on the Medical staff Executive committee for 10 years.
