GI leader to know: Dr. Larry Miller of Northwell Health

Larry Miller, MD, is the gatreoenterology chief at the Hempstead, N.Y.-based Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Miller is the gastroenterology laboratory director at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. He has designed and patented several endoscopic devices.

Dr. Miller is a professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and the head of endoscopic research at Thomas Jefferson University and Temple University, both in Philadelphia.

His National Institutes of Health-sponsored work includes studying the mechanics, pathology and pathophysiology of the distal esophagus' high-pressure zone.
