GI leader to know: Dr. Joseph Karacic of Northwestern Medicine

Joseph Karacic, MD, is a gastroenterologist with Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine.

Dr. Karacic specializes in gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastrointestinal disease and irritable bowel syndrome.

He began his career after earning his medical degree from the Chicago-based University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed a residency at Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a fellowship at Iowa City-based University of Iowa.

Dr. Karacic is American Board of Internal Medicine certified.
