Dr. Al-Kawas is a professor of medicine for Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore. Before he joined Johns Hopkins, Dr. Al-Kawas was the chief of endoscopy for Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he served in his role for 15 years. In 2006, Dr. Al-Kawas was recognized as a master endoscopist by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Al-Kawas is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American College of Physicians and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
