Dr. Thyssen earned his medical degree at Denmark-based University of Copenhagen. He completed an internship in Denmark before his residency at Chicago-based Michael Reese Hospital. He completed a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Dr. Thyssen is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.
He is a member of several professional societies including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology.
