GI leader to know: Dr. Elie Aoun of the Allegheny Health Network

Elie Aoun, MD, is the gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition division chief at Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network.

Dr. Aoun also serves as the clinical access medical director at Allegheny Health, and played a role in developing the Allegheny Health Network Center for Digestive Health’s strategic vision. In his role, he works to improve patient access to care.

Previously, Dr. Aoun served as the medical director for the division of gastroenterology at Allegheny Health. He earned his medical degree at the American University of Beirut, and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
