GI leader to know: Dr. Eduardo Alcocer of Austin Gastroenterology

Eduardo Alcocer, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Austin (Texas) Gastroenterology.

Dr. Alcocer earned his medical degree at Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico. He completed an internship and residency at Houston-based University of Texas Medical School and a fellowship at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine. He completed an additional fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at Milwaukee Gastroenterology Consultants.

He is an American Board of Internal Medicine diplomate.

Dr. Alcocer is a member of several professional societies including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
