GI leader to know: Dr. David Schwartz of Vermont Gastroenterology

David Schwartz, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Colchester-based Vermont Gastroenterology.

Dr. Schwartz specializes in inflammatory bowel disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders.

He began his career after earning his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Cambridge, Mass.-based Mount Auburn Hospital. He completed a fellowship at Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He also served as the delegate from Bristol County for the Massachusetts Medical Society.

Dr. Schwartz is an American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterology Association fellow.

Outside of his practice, he enjoys biking, skiing and spending time with his family.
