GI leader to know: Dr. David Rubin of UChicago Medicine

David Rubin, MD, is the section chief of gastroenterology at UChicago Medicine.

Dr. Rubin specializes in the treatment and assessment of digestive diseases.

His clinical expertise includes treating inflammatory bowel disease, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Dr. Rubin’s clinical research includes outcomes of IBD treatment, prevention of gastrointestinal cancer and new therapies for IBD.

He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America and the American Gastroenterology Association.
