GI leader to know: Dr. C. Raymond Cottrell of Digestive Disease Clinic

C. Raymond Cottrell, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Tallahassee, Fla.-based Digestive Disease Clinic.

He earned his medical degree from University of Texas in San Antonio. He completed an internship, residency and fellowship at Gainesville-based University of Florida.

Dr. Cottrell served as the chairman of gastroenterology at Orlando (Fla.) Regional Medical Center. He practiced in Orlando for 24 years before moving to Tallahassee in 2006.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Cottrell is an avid golfer.
