GI leader to know: Dr. Brij Dewan of Kalamazoo Gastroenterology

Brij M. Dewan, MD, is a gastroenterologist and founder of Kalamazoo (Mich.) Gastroenterology.

He is an avid researcher, serving on several gastrointestinal trials since 1982.

He began his career after earning his medical degree from New Delhi, India-based Maulana Azad Medical College. He completed his internship and residency at Chicago, Ill.-based Cook County Hospital.

Dr. Dewan is a member of several professional societies including the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.

Outside of his practice he has a wife and two children.
