Dr. Ramirez began her career after earning her medical degree from University of Texas Medical School in Houston. She completed her residency at Lexington-based University of Kentucky College of Medicine and her fellowship at Gainesville-based University of Florida.
She is a member of several professional societies including the American Gastroenterology Association and American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Ramirez knew she wanted to be a physician in high school after developing a love of science.
