GI leader to know: Dr. Ashish Nimgaonkar of Johns Hopkins Medicine

Ashish Nimgaonkar, MD, is a gastroenterologist at the Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Dr. Nimgaonkar is an assistant professor and medical director at the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design in the Johns Hopkins University Biomedical Engineering department.

He is also an adjunct faculty member at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.

Dr. Nimgaonkar leads translational technology research projects at Johns Hopkins in metabolic diseases and gastroenterology.

He is CellMax Life’s scientific and clinical advisor where he’s led the development of studies for the company’s proprietary blood test that can detect early-stage colorectal cancer and pre-cancer with 84 to 88 percent accuracy.
