Dr. Muir is a professor of medicine at the Duke University Department of Medicine.
He also serves as the chief of the division of gastroenterology in the department of medicine.
Dr. Muir is a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute, and he is the medical monitor for worldwide trials in viral hepatitis.
Dr. Muir is a recipient of the Eugene Stead Teaching and Joseph Greenfield Mentoring Award.
