The center was one of the first freestanding endoscopy centers in the area. Michael Cox, MD, led the team of physicians that funded the center.

The center’s physician owners are affiliated with eight prestigious Maryland-based hospitals.

The center participates in AmSurg’s Stop Colon Cancer Now initiative. The initiative includes thousands of physicians nationwide advocating for increased colorectal cancer screenings.

Center physicians perform colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopies and upper endoscopies.
