What you should know:

1. ADH was formed in 2007 and is the largest gastroenterology practice in Arizona. ADH has more than 50 gastroenterologists, 26 office locations and 11 endoscopy centers. The practice provides ancillary lab and infusion services.

2. ADH viewed the decision to join GI Alliance as the "ideal move."

"We will maintain our independence and stay true to the clinical values that have always defined our practice," ADH President Paul Berggreen, MD, said. "But through GIA, we now have new colleagues across the country with whom to share ideas, to work on exciting nationwide clinical and business initiatives, and to promote the overall advancement of gastroenterology."

3. GI Alliance was established in November 2018 when Waud Capital Partners invested in Southlake-based Texas Digestive Disease Consultants. The organization struck its first major deal in July 2019, when it partnered with Evanston-based Illinois Gastroenterology Group.
