Gastroenterologist Joins California’s Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital

Gastroenterologist Ian Renner, MD, has joined the active medical staff at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Andreas, Calif., according to a Pine Tree report.

Dr. Renner was one of the first gastroenterologists to use endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography to create pancreatic and biliary disorders. His special interests include diagnosis and therapy in pancreatico-bilary disease, treatment of patients with sclerosing cholangitis and disease of the biliary tract.

Dr. Renner was professor of medicine at the University of Southern California School of Medicine, where he practiced for 20 years. Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a non-profit, 25-bed critical access hospital partnered with Catholic Healthcare West.
