Dr. Barfield’s clinical interests include allergic disorders of the GI tract including esinophilic esophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, fecal microbiota transplant for recurrent C. difficile infection, disorders of motility including chronic constipation and functional gastrointestinal disorders. Her research has focused on inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and the evaluation of the practice’s home infliximab infusion program.
Dr. Barfield earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York City and completed both her residency and fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
