Dr. Gao earned her medical degree from Hunan Medical University in Changsha, Hunan, China and her master’s of science degree in the department of pediatrics from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Gao completed her internal medicine residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Mass., and her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Gao is board certified in internal medicine and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Medical Association.
