Gastroenterologist Dr. Venkat Sekar Named ‘Physician of the Year’ by IL’s Provena United Samaritans Medical Center

Gastroenterologist Venkat Sekar, MD, has been named “2012 Physician of the Year” by Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Ill., according to a news release.

Dr. Sekar practices at the Danville Polyclinic. He has been on the medical staff at the hospital since 1987.

 

Dr. Sekar attended Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in India, and completed a residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
