Gastroenterologist Dr. Michael Guirl Named President of Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy

Gastroenterologist Michael Guirl, MD, was recently sworn in as the new president of the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, according to a San Antonio Express-News report.

TSGE is comprised of nearly 500 gastroenterologists.

 

Dr. Guirl is a member of Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. He practices out of the group’s Stone Oak location.

 

Dr. Guirl received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed an internal medicine residency at University of Texas – Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and a gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
