Gastroenterologist on the Move: Dr. Elizabeth Alonso Joins LA’s Baton Rouge General Physicians

Pediatric gastroenterologist Elizabeth Alonso, MD, has joined Baton Rouge (La.) General Physicians, according to a Healthcare Journal of Baton Rouge report.

Dr. Alonso currently serves as associate professor of pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

 

She received her MD from Universidad Libre in Cali, Colombia, and completed her pediatric residency at Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, and Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She also completed a fellowship in at Tulane University and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
