Gastro Health, Washington Gastroenterology & more: 8 GI practices in the news

Here are eight practices and hospitals making headlines this past week.

Tacoma, Wash.-based Digestive Health Specialists; Olympia, Wash.-based Gastroenterology Associates; Bellevue, Wash.-based Northwest Gastroenterology; and Bellevue-based Overlake Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology merged to form Washington Gastroenterology.

Lewes, Del.-based Seaside Gastroenterology Consultants will add Heather Barton, MD, to its staff, effective in July.

Daniel Cornett, MD, joined the staff of Duluth, Minn.-based St. Luke’s Gastroenterology Associates.

Miami-based Gastro Health’s long-term CEO Alexander Fernandez departed suddenly in February, and Joseph Garcia was named his replacement.
