Here’s what you should know:
1. BelHealth Investment Partners formed NavaDerm in partnership with Bronx, N.Y.-based Dermatology and Surgery Associates, Millburn (N.J.) Laser Center, Tenafly, N.J.-based Sharon Scherl Dermatology and New York City-based Spring Street Dermatology.
2. The platform will consist of 19 physicians in five New York and New Jersey locations.
3. The six founding dermatologists of the four acquired practices will remain in their respective practices and hold equity interest in the consolidated platform.
4. Mr. Fernandez is tasked with providing the leadership and direction for Navaderm as CEO.
5. Mr. Fernandez previously served as Miami-based Gastro Health’s CEO. He joined one of Gastro Health’s founding practices in 1997 and became the company’s CEO in 2011, a role he held until April 2018.
