Bradenton-based Florida Digestive Health Specialists is building a 30,000-square-foot medical office building near its corporate headquarters, Business Observer reports.

What you should know:

1. The project will cost between $6 million and $10 million, and is expected to be completed in mid-2021.

2. The space will include a 5,000-square-foot pathology lab and will house an expansion for the Florida Research Institute, an affiliate of the practice.

3. The practice is one of the largest in Florida. It has more than 355 employees, including 40 gastroenterologists who see around 450,000 patients annually.
