Ferring Pharmaceuticals' low-volume bowel preparation Clenpiq is now available in the U.S. via prescription.

2. The prep received FDA approval in November 2017.
3. New York City-based NYU Langone Health Clinical Professor of Medicine Jonathan Cohen, MD, said, "A safe, effective and well-tolerated bowel prep is an important step towards a successful colonoscopy. Patients now have the option of a ready-to-drink, low volume bowel prep."
4. Ferring's CEO Paul Navarre said the bowel prep will strengthen the company's U.S. portfolio.
