Here are three updates on gastroenterology and endoscopy companies.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance published their 2017 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set quality measures for colorectal cancer screening, which included Exact Sciences' Cologuard.

Cchek, an early cancer detection technology developed by ITUS, has successfully been used to identify the presence of liver cancer.

Long-term use of Takeda Pharmaceutical's Entyvio (vedolizumab) may improve quality of life for patients suffering from inflammatory bowel disease, according to two interim reports published in the Journal of Crohn’s and Colitis. A study in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology also found that vedolizumab may improve clinical outcomes for patients suffering from ulcerative colitis, irrespective of treatment history.
