Lumos is a novel and proprietary software imaging system for the Fuse Full Spectrum Endoscopy platform. The Adaptive Matrix  Imaging capabilities are designed to analyze and enhance vascularity, surface texture and abnormal tissue color.

“This is an exciting step forward for endoscopists,” said Peter Siersema, MD, PhD, professor of endoscopic gastrointestinal oncology at Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands. “The subtle changes in vascular and tissue patterns are important indicators of potentially pre-cancerous polyps that warrant removal.”

EndoChoice will begin to sell the platform in the European Union following CE Mark approval. The company anticipates releasing the product in the United States and Japan later this year following regulatory approval.
