EndoChoice Acquires Nashville-Based Endoscope Repair Company to Build Platform GI Services

EndoChoice has announced the acquisition of Interactive Optics, a Nashville-based endoscope repair company that has been an EndoChoice strategic partner for the past four years.

"This was a strategic acquisition for EndoChoice as we broaden our range of quality services and products for the endoscopy professional," said Mark Gilreath, EndoChoice CEO and founder. "The technicians at Interactive Optics are simply the best in the industry, and we are pleased these professionals are joining the EndoChoice team."

Bergein F. Overholt, MD, MACP, MACG, FASGE, of Gastrointestinal Associates in Knoxville, Tenn., and a customer of both companies, called the acquisition "a positive event for the GI world." He said, "Both organizations have dedicated personnel and a deep understanding of the needs of GI. The integration of the two will create a stronger entity providing the high-quality, high-demand services and products that GI ASCs need."

Interactive Optics' endoscope repair functions will remain in Nashville after the acquisition.
