Here’s what you should know:

1. Limestone Surgical Center was established in 1988 and was the first freestanding surgery center in Delaware.

2. Dr. Bass has been a gastroenterologist with GI Specialists of Delaware since May 2017.

3. Before beginning his tenure there, he was a gastroenterologist at Elkton, Md.-based Union Hospital of Cecil County.

4. He earned his medical degree from True Blue Point, Grenada-based St. George’s University, then completed a residency at Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown University and a fellowship at New York City-based SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
