Dr. Marios Giannakis Receives Blue Hope Research Award for Colorectal Cancer Research

The Colon Cancer Alliance announced Marios Giannakis, MD, PhD, as its first ever Blue Hope Research Award recipient.

Dr. Giannakis was selected for the award through the American Association for Cancer Research peer-review process. The award will provide him with funding to further his research on personalized care for colorectal cancer patients.

Colon Cancer Alliance CEO Eric Hargis presented Dr. Giannakis with the award at the annual AACR meeting.

Dr. Giannakis is a medical oncology fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and performs cancer research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
