Dr. Iyunni Venkata Nath named Most Distinguished Physician of the Year — 3 key notes

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin named Iyunni Venkata Nath, MD, its Most Distinguished Physician of the Year for 2017 at its annual convention, TBN Weekly reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Dr. Nath began his career after earning his medical degree from India-based Nagpur University Medical College. He completed a residency and fellowship at India-based Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research and a second fellowship at Canada-based Memorial Hospital.

2. Dr. Nath was selected, in part, because he introduced new treatment and patient safety techniques and because he has been published in several research journals.

3. The annual convention was held June 24 in Atlantic City, N.J.
