Dr. Craig Christensen receives 2018 Physician Recognition Award

Pebble Beach, Fla.-based Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula recognized Craig Christensen, MD, with its 2018 Physician Recognition Award.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Dr. Christensen joined Community Hospital in 1973, becoming the first gastroenterologist on staff.

2. He earned his medical degree from Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed an internship, residency and fellowship at UC Los Angeles Medical Center.

3. He helped grow the department, which now has 11 gastroenterologists on staff.

4. Dr. Christensen said, “I’m pleased to be joining an elite group of physicians who have received the award over the last 20 years.”
