Anthony Masciarelli, DO, has been named a "Top Doctor" by NJ Top Docs, according to the Cape May County Herald. NJ Top Docs is an organization that reviews healthcare providers in New Jersey.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Masciarelli, a gastroenterologist:

1. He has been in private practice for the past 21 years.

2. He practices at Cape Regional Physicians Associates, a medical group with specialty locations throughout New Jersey.

3. Prior to joining Cape Regional Physicians Associates, he served as chief gastroenterologist at Kennedy Health System, a New Jersey-based healthcare system.

4. He earned his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, N.J. He went on to complete a gastroenterology residency at Kennedy Health System and Camden, N.J.-based Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, where he also did a gastroenterology fellowship.
