Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) is now accepting abstracts for DDW 2027, offering members of the digestive disease community opportunities to gain visibility, receive valuable feedback, and contribute to the conversations that move the field forward. Selected abstracts will be considered for presentation May 15–18, in Washington, D.C.

The past two years have set records for the number of abstracts received, reflecting DDW’s role as the premier forum for GI and hepatology. Submit an abstract by Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2026.

3 benefits of presenting research at DDW

  1. DDW brings together professionals and trainees from across the digestive disease field, representing a range of roles, disciplines, career stages, and practice settings. Presenting can extend the visibility of new findings beyond an author’s institution or immediate specialty. It can also place the work within a broader scientific and clinical context by reaching attendees who approach digestive health from different perspectives.
  2. Abstracts presented at DDW address questions and developments from across the digestive disease field. They highlight scientific discoveries, clinical findings, educational approaches, emerging technologies, or other work relevant to the community. By sharing new findings, authors can inform real-world care and research, inspire new thinking, and spark progress across the field.
  3. Oral and poster presentations allow authors to discuss their methodology, results, and conclusions with professionals from different institutions and areas of expertise. These exchanges can provide context that may not be captured in a written publication, introduce new perspectives, and identify unanswered questions. They may also help authors refine future studies or establish connections for continued discussion and collaboration.

What to know

  2. Submitters should review the guidelines, FAQs, and video tutorial to learn the requirements and steps for completing a submission.
  3. Authors should select the most appropriate DDW Track for their abstract.
