CRC Task Force: genetic testing for all newly-diagnosed colorectal cancer patients

The U.S. Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer has issued a new guideline recommending genetic testing for all tumors of newly diagnosed colorectal cancer patients, according to an American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy news release.

The task force also released recommendations for the surveillance and management of Lynch syndrome, which accounts for approximately 3 percent or more of newly diagnosed colorectal cancer cases in the United States, according to the report.
