Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Roaring Spring, Pa., part of Jonestown, Pa.-based Conemaugh Health System, unveiled its newest gastrointestinal endoscopy suite during a July 1 open house, according to a WTAJ news report.
The suite allows physicians to perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures to examine and treat conditions affecting the digestive system.
“I’m thrilled to see it here because I think we’re going to be able to provide a higher level of care for the patients and be able to serve more patients,” said George Cummings, MD, general surgeon at Conemaugh Nason to WTAJ.
The hospital added six nursing positions to support patients being treated in the new endoscopy suite. The suite will open July 28 and is expected to reach full capacity in August.
