Colorectal cancer screening rates by state

Maine has the highest rate of colorectal cancer screenings, according to the United Health Foundation’s America’s Health Rankings.

This information comes from 2022 data from the CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.

Here are the states ranked by percentage of adults ages 45 to 75 who reported receiving one or more of the recommended colorectal cancer screening tests within the recommended time interval: 

1. Maine: 68.9%
