CMS delays review of lower GI/endoscopy codes

The Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule was published on Oct. 31 and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has delayed the review of lower GI/endoscopy codes until 2016 as requested by the American Gastroenterological Association and its sister GI societies.

For CY 2015, the code inputs for lower GI/endoscopy procedures, including colonoscopy, will be maintained at the CY2014 levels.
