CMS changes submission deadline for targeted MIPS review — What you need to know

CMS changed the deadline for providers looking to submit a 2019 payment adjustment targeted review.

1. Providers that participated in MIPS in 2017 can request CMS to review their performance metrics and final score through a targeted review.

2. CMS extended the targeted review deadline to Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. EDT.

3. If the review is approved, CMS will update the final score and adjust its payment appropriately.
