Chromoendoscopy could boost ADR in Lynch syndrome

Chromoendoscopy may improve adenoma detection rate in patients with Lynch syndrome, according to a Medscape report.

In a group of 78 patients undergoing screening or surveillance colonoscopy,41 percent of patients with at least one adenoma were identified using chromoendoscopy, while only 23 percent were identified using standard colonoscopy.

The researchers suggested that chromoendoscopy be used in all Lynch syndrome patients during follow-up colonoscopy.
