Central Maine Healthcare teams with Anthem for colonoscopy access

Central Maine Healthcare has partnered with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine to offer colorectal cancer screenings for Anthem members at Bridgton (Maine) Hospital.

Beginning May 5, Central Maine specialist physicians began providing preventative colonoscopies for Anthem members at Bridgton Hospital every week, according to a May 1 news release. 

Colorectal cancer is the third most common type of cancer among adults, and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends screenings for patients beginning at age 45.
