The study, presented by Cook Medical, indicated the company’s 19-gauge EchoTip ProCore High Definition Ultrasound Biopsy Needle can help diagnose multiple types of cancers in a variety of target tissues with great accuracy.

In this multicenter European study, researchers found the needle allows pathologists to sample a variety of lesions without compromising diagnostic accuracy, which could lead to earlier detection of GI malignancies.
