Here are five updates from gastroenterology companies and industry-relevant companies to note:

The American Gastroenterological Association expanded its editorial fellowship program to its entire journal portfolio.

The AGA also commented on the American Board of Medical Specialties draft report on continuing board certification.

In addition, the AGA released a guideline in Gastroenterology on the medical management of opioid-induced constipation to address treatment options for the up to 12 million Americans suffering from chronic pain.

Cantel Medical purchased the dental-focused water treatment, purification and management solutions business Vista Research Group.

Southeastern Urgent Care Pembroke (N.C.) is rebranding as Southeastern Multi-Specialty and Urgent Care Pembroke as it expands.
