Here are four notes:
1. The GEBT is intended for measurements of the rate of solid-phase gastric emptying.
2. The GEBT also enables the rapid diagnosis of gastroparesis.
3. The test is non-radioactive and non-invasive and can be administered conveniently at a physician’s office, a laboratory collection center or in a tertiary care setting.
4. The Cairn GEBT has been approved by the FDA.
